Breast Lift

A breast lift is a cosmetic procedure performed to elevate a breast that is gravitating downward as well as reshape and tighten the breast to achieve a natural yet more feminine shape.  After pregnancy, weight loss, and/or natural aging, the breasts may appear to be positioned lower on the chest wall. These processes burden the breast skin of its elasticity and the mammary tissue of its internal support. The result is often discomfort and a physical appearance that many women find unattractive.

Because a breast lift does not increase breast size, it is not uncommon for this procedure to be combined with a breast augmentation (mastopexy-augmentation) to lift and enhance the size of your breasts.

Breast Implant Revision

After having breast implants placed for aesthetic or reconstructive purposes, women may desire revision, replacement, or even removal of their implants.  A shift in position or formation of scar tissue may necessitate revision, replacement, or even removal of implants.  At Biswas Plastic Surgery, we also respect that aesthetic goals evolve with age, therefore it is not uncommon for women to request larger or smaller breast implants to better suit their current body image.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery is usually performed to relieve neck, back, and shoulder pain, as well as skin irritation in women with large breasts.  Large, heavy breasts can be extremely uncomfortable and cause a significant burden on your quality of life.  Breasts that are too large for a woman’s frame can lead to musculoskeletal pain, breathing problems, and stretched skin.  Non-physical problems such as poorly fitting clothing, decreased exercise ability, and body image concerns also arise.

Nipple/Areola Correction

Nipple/Areola correction surgery improves issues associated with absent, asymmetrical, disproportionately wide, protruding, and/or inverted nipples. Nipple/Areola reconstruction can be performed as part of breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer. The benefits of nipple/areola surgery usually are an increased confidence in appearance, whether it be in social circumstances, and/or intimate situations.
