Male Breast Reduction

Male Breast Reduction surgery is performed for the treatment of gynecomastia, which is enlarged or overdeveloped breast tissue caused by excess fat, glandular (breast) tissue, and/or skin in men.

A common reason male breast reduction is pursued is because enlarged male breasts can create a feminizing appearance that becomes embarrassing in social situations which may affect self-esteem and cause psychological distress.

The goal of male breast reduction surgery is to make the chest proportional to the rest of the male physique by creating a flatter chest profile with improved contours and minimal scars. The surgery may be performed with a combination of liposuction to remove the excess fat and excision to remove the excess breast tissue.

If gynecomastia is affecting your quality of life such as preventing you from wearing certain clothes or avoiding certain social circumstances, please contact us for a private consultation to discuss your treatment options.

Chest Liposculpture

After a certain point, even after months of exercise and eating right, you might have noticed few unsightly bulges on your chest that may be obscuring those defined, “heroic” pecs that you’ve been working so hard for.  These stubborn areas, commonly along the chest sidewall and armpit, can be treated with liposuction methods to accentuate the definition you’ve developed from exercise and unveil the gains you’ve made from living a healthier lifestyle.

Liposuction of the chest is also commonly used for the treatment of gynecomastia, especially if there is a predominance of excess fat. Ultrasonic assisted liposuction, such as the VASER® system, can be used for precise control such as around the nipple/areola complex, to target fat cells while preserving blood vessels and nerves within this area.
