Face Procedures for Women

Your Face, For You.

Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)

A Brow Lift can help restore a more youthful upper face by placing the eyebrows in its correct position as well as softening wrinkles on the forehead.

During the natural course of aging, the eyebrows can droop from their natural position. This creates a “heavy” appearance to the eyebrow. Along with forehead and brow wrinkles, this appearance can create an unwarranted aged, fatigued, irritable, stressed, and even angry look to your upper face. Brow Lift surgery can also improve visual field deficits in women whose peripheral vision has become affected by drooping brows.

If you sense a heaviness in your forehead and eyebrows that is making you feel and look older than you actually are, call us for a personal consult to determine if a brow lift is right for you.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Eyelid surgery, also known as Blepharoplasty, is a very popular facial rejuvenation procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids to restore a more awake and vibrant visage.   Eyelid surgery will target the eyelid features that make you look older than you feel: the overhanging upper eyelids and the tired-appearing, puffy lower eyelids.  Eyelid surgery can also create an upper eyelid crease in Asian eyelids, although it is not intended to hide racial or ethnic anatomical attributes.   Eyelid surgery is often performed alone or in combination with other facial surgical procedures such as facelifts.

If you are looking to freshen and rejuvenate the appearance of your eyes, especially if you have areas of loose skin or excess fatty tissue creating a tired appearance or visual impairment, call us to schedule a comprehensive consultation to discuss your concerns and candidacy for eyelid surgery.

Face Lift

The face is quite possibly the most important social identifier in modern society. It defines who we are, establishes our identity to those around us, and lets others know what your emotions are conveying without even speaking a word. As we age, the effect of gravity, stress, and sun exposure loosens our skin and creates wrinkles around the eyes, nose, and mouth. The unfortunate consequence of aging is that these changes may not correlate with how you currently identify yourself. A Face Lift is the most efficient method for reversing the effects of aging and gravity, revealing a more vibrant and natural facial identity. This is accomplished by removing excess skin and repositioning fat and muscles, which collectively elevates the cheeks and mid-face, reduces the jowls, and provides a more defined jawline.

If you are concerned that your face presents an older-appearing age than you feel, please contact us at Biswas Plastic Surgery for a personal consultation to address your facial concerns.

Neck Lift

Aging and the effects of gravity loosens our skin, displaces fat, and creates vertical muscle band lines in our neck. Neck Lift surgery, often combined with a Face Lift, helps to improve the appearance of the neck, restoring a defined and more attractive jaw line.  Also known as “Platysmaplasty,” a Neck Lift accomplishes this by tightening and/or repositioning the lax neck muscles as well as removing excess skin which helps to sharpen the contour of the neck.

Please contact us at Biswas Plastic Surgery for an individualized consultation if you are concerned about an unattractive, sagging neck.

Rhinoplasty

The goal of Rhinoplasty is to sculpt the nose to be in proportion and in better harmony with the other facial features, as well as to correct a structural problem within the nose that may be contributing to breathing issues.

The nose is a highly detailed and dynamic feature of the face. Since the nose is situated in the middle of the face, the nose acts as a point of aesthetic reference for the rest of the face, and small imbalances in our nose can produce large illusions of aesthetic disproportions.

Undergoing cosmetic surgery on the nose is a profoundly personal choice. For some, the nose can be a defining aspect of one’s culture or ethnicity – an aspect that should be dealt with respect when performing nose surgery. Not only should your nose be treated with delicate care, but it also should be treated with realistic expectations in mind.

If you are concerned with the appearance of your nose or are having difficulty breathing, please contact us at Biswas Plastic Surgery for a comprehensive evaluation to determine your candidacy for Rhinoplasty.

Ear Contouring (Otoplasty)

The goal of an Otoplasty is to reduce any asymmetries and improve the ear shape to be in balance with the other facial features.

Children and adults with prominent or irregular-shaped ears may place them at risk of teasing and bullying at school or at the workplace.  While these behaviors are unacceptable, a single event that points out the irregularity can cause one to be self-conscious about one’s ears.

If you are struggling with self-conscious ear issues or are wanting to know more about what Otoplasty is, please contact us at Biswas Plastic Surgery for a consultation to discuss your concerns.

If you’ve noticed your child to express some dissatisfaction with the appearance of their ears and your child is at least 4 years of age and in overall good health, please contact us for a formal evaluation.

Cheek Augmentation

A youthful face presents with fullness over the cheekbones.  Over time, however, our cheeks tend to lose volume, and some of the fat that contributes to this volume may have descended into the mid-cheek area due to gravity which can cause a flattened appearance.  To restore the lost fullness of the cheek, Cheek Augmentation implants artificial or natural material onto the cheek to create a more rejuvenated and youthful contour.

If you are considering to improve the look of your face by enhancing the shape, contour, and balance of your cheeks, please call us for a comprehensive consultation to determine your candidacy for Cheek Augmentation.

Chin Augmentation (Genioplasty)

Chin augmentation, also known as Genioplasty, is generally performed by implanting artificial or natural material onto the chin to enlarge or change the chin shape.

The appearance of the chin can create an immediate societal bias depending on its proportion in relation to the rest of the face.  For example, a slightly set back chin or narrow jaw line can give the impression of having a weak chin, implying a weaker persona.  The opposite can be said of a more developed chin or jaw line, implying stronger character traits.  Although there is no scientific evidence to give credit to these societal biases, patients who have experienced discrimination based on their chin structure are still seeking surgery as a possible answer to build back their self-esteem.

If you feel that your chin does not complement the proportions of the rest of your face, please contact us to discuss your concerns regarding Chin Augmentation.
